چکیده

In this paper, block-matching with Gaussian Filter adaptive technique is proposed to estimate the motion velocity displacement point in the ultrasound image. We apply the Hexagon-Diamond Displacement Point (HDDP) technique to estimate the motion displacement. The motion displacement is based on the hexagon and diamond displacement pattern search points. The displacement pattern search point is to determine the displacement of motion velocity point in the ultrasound image sequence. The motion velocity displacement point is then used as reference point to access the diagnose or problematic area. Furthermore, motion velocity displacement point will be used as reference point to measure the displacement distance from the original point. At the same time, Gaussian Filter will help to suppress the existing high level of noise in order to improve the point signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of the ultrasound image sequence. The experimental result shows that the Gaussian Filter helps to improve the PSNR points in the ultrasound images sequence. The application of discriminant analysis in differentiation of fibroadenoma and ductal carcinoma of breast tissue using ultrasound velocity measurement

Background: Ultrasound propagation velocity was measured experimentally in normal, fibroadenoma and ductal carcinoma breast tissues, in order to distinguish normal breast tissue from tumors. Materials and methods: In quantitative measurements of ultrasound velocity, 403 breast tissue images were selected, comprising 130 normal breast tissue, 130 fibroadenoma, and 143 ductal carcinoma tumors. Th...

Design, Evaluation and Prototyping of a New Robotic Mechanism for Ultrasound Imaging

This paper presents a new robotic mechanism for ultrasound imaging. The device is placed on a patient's body by an operator, and an ultrasound expert controls the motions of the device to obtain ultrasound images. The paper focuses on the robotic mechanism that performs ultrasound imaging. The design of the mechanism is based on two approaches to produce center of motion for an ultrasound probe...

Robot Motion Vision Pait I: Theory

A direct method called fixation is introduced for solving the general motion vision problem, arbitrary motion relative to an arbitrary environment. This method results in a linear constraint equation which explicitly expresses the rotational velocity in terms of the translational velocity. The combination of this constraint equation with the Brightness-Change Constraint Equation solves the gene...

Estimating Motion in Ultrasound Images of the Small Bowel: Optical Flow without Image Structure

Measurement of motion in transabdominal ultrasound sequences of the small bowel is hampered by the unstructured, textured appearance of the images. We investigate a method of measuring Optical Flow in the sequences, based on an analysis of the spatio-temporal frequency spectrum. The method requires no unrealistic assumptions about the distribution of energy in the frequency spectrum and extends...

Visualization of pulsation Amplitude in B-mode Cranial Ultrasound Images

Cranial ultrasound scans are very essential part of the routine investigation of neonatal intensive care. The scan ultrasound image sequence are not only used for real-time diagnosis but also recorded for future diagnosis, offline analysis of ultrasonogram images and the study of tissue velocity in neonatal cranium. Tissue motion in neonatal cranium is an important physical parameter in discuss...
